NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF LOCAL LAW
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that at a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Unadilla, held at the Town Hall, located at 1648 State Highway 7, Unadilla, New York, on May 14, 2019, Local Law No. 1 of 2019, entitled “A Local Law Establishing the Office of Sole Appointed Assessor” was adopted by the Town of Unadilla Town Board, which Local Law abolishes the offices of three elected assessors, effective December 31, 2019 and establishes the office of sole appointed assessor, effective January 1, 2020. The Local Law was adopted by a vote as follows:
Councilman Chambers voted Absent.
Councilman Cole voted Yes.
Councilman French voted Yes.
Councilman Reed voted Yes.
Supervisor DeNys voted Yes.
Local Law No. 1 of 2019 was thereupon adopted by a vote of 4 to 0.
Pursuant to Section 328 of the New York Real Property Tax Law, the Town Board has determined that the adoption of Local Law No. 1 of 2019 is subject to a permissive referendum.
